Oak Street welcomes Mrs. Terri Beaman is our Children’s Minister. She is well known to the membership as a gifted musician, leader of Children’s Choir and for her involvement with a variety of children’s activities as a lay member of the church. She served earlier as part-time Children’s Minister from June of 2002 until July of 2003. She also has three and a half years of experience teaching special education classes in public schools; more than four years’ experience in management of licensed child care facilities; and more than 15 years total volunteer experience leading children’s ministries and music programs. She has an earned Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (University of Texas – Permian Basin) and holds teacher certification in Generic Special Education. Her “goal” as a minister is “…to serve the Lord by reaching children and their families for Him … I want children to develop a passion for Jesus and to know that ‘the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love’…”.
